Abstract Greil Marcus and Warner Sollors' edited A New Literary History of America (Harvard University Press, 2009), the first American Literary History in the 21st century, provides us with an opportunity to rethink the discursive framework of Literary and Cultural Studies. This symposium will explore the new literary historical frontier with special emphasis on the Transpacific dimensions.
